Farm Styled Shoot

It began with a wedding delivery. I walked into an unfamiliar church, plopped my box of down on a table and scanned the obviously deserted lobby. I started taking the bouquets out one by one to see how they had fared the car ride; everything looked good. Within minutes I heard footsteps down the hall; around the corner came two ladies, one obviously the photographer with a camera strung around her neck. She caught sight of the bouquets and immediately started gushing to me about them. I was taken aback because these were just fully white bouquets; nothing too out of the ordinary. We introduce ourselves, her name was Nakalan and after that day, she became one of my biggest fans.

A year later she photographed me in my studio. And now, 2, or maybe 3 years later, we finally were able to do a styled shoot together. Thank you Nakalan, for encouraging my work and letting me be a part of yours.
...Now...onto the shoot.

I had the delightful pleasure of working with some of the most genuine and talented ladies in this styled shoot. Nakalan and Kira donned their cameras and each of their separate "eyes" captured the day magnificently. Kira whipped up "pear-themed" dishes that not only tasted like a dream but were aesthetically pleasing; decor on their own, even without my flowers. We had a lovely couple that had more talents than just looking beautiful, this lady, Christie, created the dress that she wore! There were so many more gems that I worked with on this, take a look at the end of this post for all of them.

The days leading up to this collaboration were exciting, especially for me, since I was able to forage 90% of what I used. Here is a breakdown of the bouquet:

White Spray Roses: The one thing I purchased from a local rose company, Peterkort Roses.
Rose hips, Hydrangea and Nine Bark: From a walk around the neighborhood.
Dried Fennel seeds: From our garden behind the tea shop.
Ivy and Ivy Berries: From my secret location by the freeway on ramp.
